Pesto Caprese Dip

The holidays can be stressful with trying to find the perfect appetizer to bring to impress your friends and family.  Well, have no fear, with our Wobbly Walleye Pesto Basil and this Pesto Caprese Dip recipe, you’ll be leaving everyone in awe of your cooking abilities.


  • 4 Tbsp pesto (check out our Wobbly Walleye Pesto recipe here)

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 3 Tbsp Wobbly Walleye Pesto Basil, chopped

  • Fresh cracked pepper to taste

  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, torn into small-medium pieces (if using mozzarella packed in water, pat pieces dry with paper towels before adding to dish)

  • 8 oz fresh cherry tomatoes

  • A small handful of pine nuts


Directions:


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

  2. Spread the pesto in the bottom of a small baking pan

  3. In a bowl, gently fold together the cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, basil, and pepper

  4. Dollop the cheese mixture on top of the pesto and use clean finger to gently spread it throughout the pan

  5. Top with the torn fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and some additional slice basil (for garnish

  6. Bake 425 degrees for 25-30 minutes

  7. Allow to cool slightly

  8. Top with a sprinkling of pine nuts and enjoy!


Serves 8.
